In investing, a “glide path” is the formula used for changing an asset allocation to take progressively less risk as retirement approaches. TRAK’s Quick Gap program has the ability to alter the accumulation rates of return of a client’s retirement cash balance accounts.
To enable this feature, check the box “Use Glide Path for Retirement Investments” on the “Retirement Info” tab and then select either:
• Aggressive
• Average
• Conservative
Note: If this feature is enabled, the rate of return for each account will be disabled.
Additionally, TRAK has the ability to create a custom set of rates by clicking on the horizontal ellipsis button ( ) next to the drop down arrow.
Note: This editor is also accessible in Setup | Config… Glide Paths.
To setup a new custom glide path in TRAK, click the "New" button ( ) and enter the desired name for the path.
Next, enter the time period and pre-retirement rates of return. To add a row, click on the "Click here to add a new row" on the top line of the grid configuration.
Once configured, this new path will be available to select on the Quick Gap Data Entry screen:
